On photography
Taking photographs has been a life long interest. My Dad taught me to develop my own pictures in our downstairs bathroom when I was about twelve years-old. I got my own Pentax K-1000 in 1985, and studied photography extensively in high school with the fabulous Joe Swayze. I thought I might pursue photo journalism as a career after college. These days I take mostly digital images on my iPhone but still love getting in the darkroom and doing things the old-fashioned way. I am amazed at the technological changes I have experienced in my lifetime. My camera is another sketchbook for me to record how I see the world around me.
